Parents, don't foget...

Parents, there is a setting in JMC that allows you to receive an email every time a missing assignment is entered in the grade book.  Follow these simple steps:

  1. Log into the parent portal
  2. Go to Alert Configuration
  3. Click on Missing Score Alert
And this should set up the notification.

You can also set JMC up to notify when a grade drops below a certain percentage, this is another great way to track what your student is doing academically.

Back at it...

Hello there, we are back at it.  School is in full swing, and homework will become the norm as will grade checks - starting this Friday.  While I am hopeful it will be a small list, there will be some students who will start the year off on academic probation.  If this is you, or your student, and you would like help changing this, please reach out to myself, the school counselor, or another person you feel comfortable seeking help from.  It is important to stay on top of school work and own your education.

Owning your education will be a focus of mine this year, encouraging students to advocate for themselves, seek help when they need it, find a system that works to keep organized, and most of all, take accountability!

I look forward to a great school year, and I hope we are all back with a renewed sense of what it takes to be a good student.

Start of second semester

Well, that was a slow start to second semester with only 2 and 1/2 days last week.  Regardless of the slow start, here it is, second semester!!  It is the time of year we are working to make sure schedules match what students need and reviewing any failed classes from semester one.  Hopeful to make this semester even better than the first. Remember to ask teachers for help when stuck, come in early and stay late in order to get any clarification needed, and put in the same effort your teachers do!!
